The Ankara Dress

Ankara outfits are becoming a necessity for not just women, but men, boys and little girls. Like me! Not only are they being worn for special occasions like weddings or church, but they can be worn anywhere, anytime. As simply put by Linda (She’s among the favorite Kenyan bloggers), Ankara allows one to be creative. You can pair it with anything and just be CREATIVE! So guys, keep checking the blog and see how Young World will be trying to explore this trend too!

During the December Holidays, as a tradition, grandma decided to show us what she had finally made for everyone. All her grandchildren got something from her. I received an Ankara dress with a matching blazer (saving it for another day), and a matching shirt for Brad. Another amazing thing is that Auntie Fa had a similar outfit too. Hope we do a “Marchy” Outfit post with those two. You hear that Auntie?
Back on today’s post. I dressed like this for church last Sunday. I added Brad’s blue sunglasses and my pink watch. Afterwards, I had my hair done and I didn’t stay long at the salon because of the medium sized cornrows.
Hope you enjoy the post.
